Smoke-free Illinois
A friend alerted me to something today that these websites confirm; however no one I’ve mentioned it to has heard anything about it. It was in the Post, I see.
This past Monday, Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich signed a bill into effect that will ban smoking in all public buildings, including restaurants, bars, and casinos. It goes into effect at the start of next year.
Something tells me that those seeking late-night, East-side action aren’t going to be too happy.

Nor are the owners of metro-east bars and casinos, who fear they’ll lose business to Missouri establishments. Nearly all of the legislators who represent the metro-east voted against the ban, but it had strong support in Chicago and the suburbs.
The smokers won’t like it, but the non-smokers who want to see live music but don’t want to deal with second-hand smoke will be happy.

Are you implying there may be a riot in Titty City? LOL
