Your Royal Hotness

Posted in News on May 30, 2008 by kritter

Seriously, who wrote this article? Was the person British?

Here are pics of the top 10. It’s not so much that I disagree with number one and two, but three and four hotter than the royalty from Monaco or Sweden? No way. In fact, Sweden may need to take all.

I’ve taken a look at some of the others.

#11- Prince Albert von Thurn und Taxis (Germany). Um… can we say sideburns? Yikes!
#12- Princess Madeline (Sweden). Chesty and gorgeous!
#16- Princess Sirivannavari (Thailand). Cutie.
#17- Sheikha Maitha bint Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum (United Arab Emirates)
#18- Princess Iman bint Al Hussein (Jordan) I’m not totally sure this is right because her name comes up as Haya bint Al Hussein. I can’t find an Iman… Haya is pretty though.
#20- Princess Sikhanyiso (Swaziland)

This is the mileage on my car.

How  long do you think it will take me to get to 200,000?

A. 30 days

B. 45 days

C. 60 days

D. 90 days

I think the winner of this question will be the one who knows me best. We shall see.

Spring

Posted in My Life on May 7, 2008 by kritter

I don’t know who I am kidding when I say spring OR fall are my favorite seasons. Not anymore. Sure, colorful leaves are pretty, but let’s face it, they are dying. I’ve often lamented having to put away my skirts and sandals. And the last couple years I have almost felt an anxiety about the cold, dead months.

Spring it is, hands down. Everything is coming to life. I love landscaping. I will walk around my neighborhood and just stare at yards and beautiful flowers and trees – sometimes stopped dead in my tracks by a brilliant hue. I’ve also discovered that the Botanical Gardens are free every Saturday before noon. A weekly morning walk??? I will be practically living in the place this summer between that and Jazz in the Garden on Wednesday nights.

And nowadays, summer comes in second for me. Yes, it is hot. But I just love summer activities – music, camping, festivals, travel, etc.

Anyway, what I think I really wanted to say in this entry is that I cannot think of ONE REASON why anyone with a decent-sized yard and the right climate would NOT have an azalea AND a dogwood.
